Tell your research story in 1 minute

Researchers from various institutes travelled to the University of the Sunshine Coast on 10 July 2018 for a science communication training session.

The objective of the training was to provide participants with knowledge, tools and feedback on how to pitch their research in plain English and in one minute.

One of the participants then went on to win the University of the Sunshine Coast Minute to Win It competition (Congratulations Dr Mia Schaumberg, pictured).

This session was repeated in December at QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute in Brisbane.

Here, 2 additional workshops were held enabling participants to improve their communication techniques and practise their pitch.
