Queensland Science and Research Priorities

The Queensland Government has a plan to advance Queensland—both now and into the future.

Our Future State: Advancing Queensland’s Priorities are the government’s objectives for the community:

  • create jobs in a strong economy
  • give all our children a great start
  • keep Queenslanders healthy
  • keep communities safe
  • protect the Great Barrier Reef
  • be a responsive government.

To ensure any future investments provide value for money and are well-aligned with Queensland Government objectives, the Queensland Chief Scientist publishes Queensland Science and Research Priorities (PDF, 690K) to guide government spending.

A new set of priorities are currently being developed.

Visit the Advancing Queensland’s Priorities website for more information on the government’s most important priorities.
